Hey friends,

Quick one this week, because we have a Bottle Share to plan.

First, thank you for all the kind notes about Zach and Marcella. The wedding was fabulous, and the newlyweds are doing great. Marcella still hasn't found her bourbon, but we're not giving up.

And Thursday I'm headed to Four Roses to help Barrel Proof Liquors pick a barrel. More on that soon.

Saturday, October 10 won the vote, so let's do it.

What it is: A relaxed night of pouring, sharing and great bourbon conversation with fellow ZBar members.
​When: Saturday, October 10 at 7pm
​Where: ZBar - Address in the Eventbrite Link
​Cost: Free. Just register on Eventbrite below (Space is limited)
​Bring: A bottle you're excited to share. A store pick, a dusty, a hidden gem, or something you want a second opinion on. All of it is welcome.

Whether you've got a shelf full of allocated bottles or you're just getting started, you belong at this table.

This Week in Whiskey News
  • Fire at Glenns Creek. A fire on September 30 destroyed several buildings at Glenns Creek Distilling, including the historic Old Crow rickhouses. Everyone is safe, no bourbon was in the buildings, and production areas weren't damaged.
  • Four Roses sets the bar. The 2026 Limited Edition Small Batch is out at $249, and it's already being called the standard for this year's fall releases. Good timing for our trip down Thursday.
  • King of Kentucky is back. Brown-Forman is bringing back King of Kentucky for 2026 as a 14-year, high-proof single barrel bourbon from 99 barrels. We blind-tasted the three small batch KOK versions back in August.
